The WIN Group is a large Caribbean conglomerate with stakes in diverse industries such as warehousing, storage, port operations and ethanol processing. Family-owned and operated, the Mevs’ holdings have had a significant impact on Haiti through social service-based endeavors and support of numerous organizations that provide both immediate relief and long-term infrastructure development.

WIN Group was founded in the 1940s by Mr. Fritz Mevs, Sr. An accomplished entrepreneur and businessman, Mr. Mevs believed in the industrial potential of Haiti. Throughout his 54-year career with his wife Huguette Portes Mevs, he helped shape the country’s agribusiness and manufacturing sectors trough the creation of a line of diverse and successful enterprises. These included sugar and distilled alcohol production, sporting and household goods manufacturing such as detergent, edible oils and pipe. In the 1980s, he began focusing on the development of commercial/ industrial parks, port facilities, cement plants and various petroleum-related endeavors. His reputation and continued success helped him establish longstanding and close partnerships with numerous leading international corporations, among them Ansaldo Energia, Total, Colgate-Palmolive, Cemex and ED & F Man. Mr. Mevs passed away in 2008, but his children, grand children and family continue his trailblazing legacy.
